Victoria - The New Napa

So we had previously mentioned that we made a trip out West to visit the family. My parents decided that it would be fun to take the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria, British Columbia, so that's exactly what we did for a couple of days at the end of May...

After watching the Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners we drove up to Seattle early Tuesday morning and caught the 8:30 am ferry to Victoria. We had a champagne brunch and took in the water views from our high speed ferry. It had been 11 years since I had been to Victoria (I traveled there with my high school choir) and when we arrived it was just as I had left it.

My dad was extremely pround of himself, as he had scheduled us to go on a wine tasting tour of the Victoria countryside. At the ferry terminal we were picked up by our limo-bus and wisked away to our afternoon of wine tasting.

We toured 4 award winning Wineries and a English Cidery. Of course Meaghan had to taste every sample and buy something at each stop. We brought back 3 bottles of wine (The region's specialty is dessert wines (Blueberry and Raspberry).

Fancy Schmancy guys! I love your new place, how much fun you'll have making it "yours". Looks like great times in Seattle, I'm sorry we missed you.
