One Week In Washington...

Every couple of years we finally find the time to fly across the country and pay homage to a place that I know and love. A place that is known as Puyallup... So you might question why this place called Puy-All-Up would hold such a special place in my heart. Well I guess it's because it's where all began.

The fateful day was March 11th, 1979 and it was the day I came it to the world. All 3 pounds 3 ounces of me... While I spent the first 24 years of my life in Washington and always enjoy the opportunity to return home and see how things have changed.

This trip, Meaghan was able to come with me, so my parents did an great job of making sure we had things to do...

We arrived on Saturday evening, flying the jewel of the sky, JetBlue. There is no better way to fly to Seattle than with the airline that gives you yummy snacks, serves unlimited Diet Coke, and provides you with Direct TV at every seat. I probably sound like an advertisement, but as a frequent flyer, I do have to say that spending 5+ hours on a plane is much easier when you have Direct TV and Diet Coke.

Sunday was a day of celebration. It was my brother-in-law, Brian's birthday, so we ventured up toward Snohomish to celebrate with his family. Meaghan hadn't met our god-son Eric in person, so we got to spend some time with the Haines family, and truly experience how much energy a 1 year old, a 4 year old, and 6 year old really have.

After spending the afternoon with the family, eating way too much junk food, and running around chasing the kids, we headed back home to get ready for the rest of our week. Mt. Rainier, the Mariners vs. the Red Sox, a ferry ride, the beach, and the Rodeo. These are all the activities we were able to pack in during our one week in Washington...

3 pounds 3 ounces... I didn't know that. You must have come a bit early.

Love Puyallup. Although I can't believe how much it has changed over the past few years.
